Seems to be less about how to RIDE in an urban environment, and more about how to keep your bike alive. Sounds interesting. I love my Zinn bible, but the prospect of a book that addresses the kind of beat up hell your city bike endures, that’s something, isn’t it?

This repaint on this Grandis reminds me of the paint scheme I was exploring for Carpetbagger before I went monochrome. Sometimes I really like the ‘dipped’ look, and sometimes not.

This collaborative design challenge features a number of bike and general design folks working on custom projects to be judged in about a month. Of the three, I have to go with the FUSE X SYCIP design. I’m a big fan of Sycip bikes. I’ve talked with those guys, admired the ice cream hauler down the street from me, and like their approach. And from a function and aesthetic perspective, I thought this was the best offering…
