You may recall we’ve covered Shemar Moore, actor from Criminal Minds, and his cycling hobby, involvement in charity events, bike advocacy, and perhaps most importantly, his willingness and desire to ride around LA instead of rolling in a Hummer every day. Well, he got pinched from behind by an SUV, of course. And they are dodging the fault, so he’s suing their asses.
That guy ain’t hurting financially, so I hope he’s doing it to make a point: run over a cyclist, take responsibility.

This was pretty good: David Millar was given a 36-tooth cog for a climb in a recent race. Why? Because he ate too many smiley pies? No, because his use of those crazy elliptical cranks made using a compact front end impossible.
Ill show YOU a compact front end!

This article talks about the phenomenon that is often unspoken but absolutely true in my experience: you learn a city more intimately by bike in ways other forms of transport, even walking, don’t allow. It’s way i always rent bikes on my trips when I can, and will soon bring mine with…

personally, i don’t give a shit whether or not lance armstrong ever did or didn’t use performance-enhancing drugs/techniques. as has been discussed here on the forum ad nauseum, doping rules are subjective and hypocritical (blood doping is illegal, where sleeping in an altitude chamber is not, yet they have an identical effect on the body), and as WR reminds me all the time when i take some piece of celebrity gossip as fact, you can’t believe everything you read. that means that you can’t believe that he did, and you can’t believe he didn’t. only he and his doctor(s) know for sure. it wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t, because he’s arguably the most-tested person in professional sport. on the other hand, it wouldn’t surprise me if he did, because he has a ton of money, an army of PR agents and doctors and trainers, and the means to evade or beat pretty much any test out there.
now, with that stated, what REALLY pisses me off is the NEWS today that george hincapie — a tight friend and teammate of armstrong’s — just dimed him out. like i said, whether he did or didn’t is of no consequence to me. but selling out your best friend? UNTENABLE.
fuck you, hincapie.

First of all, this is a track, or velodrome, and those are track bikes, and those are racers of track bikes on the track. I know there has been some confusion about this over the last 8 years.
Anyway, Dats Not Right!
