We learned that the NYPD was amassing even more cops and backup and equipment and prepared for massive arrests as if attacking a violent protest in the famous election year Critical Mass crackdown of 2004 then we ever knew… but we learn now that the courts have required the city to pay a FAT compensation package to the arrested and abused riders years later.
We also learned that despite significant, irrational street protests against them, the new bike lanes in NYC and elsewhere went off without a hitch. Nice work!
Yet, despite all that, NYPD is planning another crackdown… on scofflaws. That means YOU!
You know, I like to say it’s not really US VS THEM… but sometimes…

so the anticipated MACAFRAMA BIKE was unveiled at interbike this year and while i’m not entirely crazy about the full build they have there, i do love the frame and SICK mike giant SF-specific illustrations.

most of the time, bike cops ride crappy mountain bikes and are pretty much the easiest police in the whole department to evade. i wouldn’t try that with london cops, though. that thing looks FAST.
