some genius decided that broken cranks would make a good training device, and invented POWER CRANKS. they’re just like regular cranks, only lamer — you can disengage one side or the other to cause one of the following to happen…
+ one side stays still while the other drives the bike.
+ both sides face in the same direction, so each leg is pulling or pushing at the same time.
+ you look lame.

"Grafik magazine organized a project to create posters for each Olympic even during London Design Festival a few weeks ago.
Music, a design studio in Manchester got BMX as their nominated sport and created posters by getting BMX riders to ride around in paint in a warehouse. Each bike used started off completely white."
SICK.

CROOZER is actually a family of bicycle trailers — some for kids, some for dogs, some for hauling shit around. this particular one, the croozer cargo, is sublimely awesome in that it holds a ton of shit, mounts easily at the axle, can convert to a hand-truck, has a tarp top, and FOLDS FLAT (inset).

We’ve looked at this frame design before, but man, I can’t get over the bridge in the dropout. How cool. That’s craft!

I mean, they aren’t overall my cup of tea, but the company with the raddest logo ever just chose a very number one good colorway for these shoes…
This may be propaganda from back in the day, but it’s ALSO a great primer for urban commuting joys…

They’ll stop you for rolling a stop sign or whatever, but if you get mowed down, suddenly they’ve got one of those car to car parking lot conferences to attend to. Grrr.

It took me all of about 3 seconds to order one of these after Lung posted about them here. It’s a thick leather piece with two lace-up points on either end, so you can attach it to your top tube and seat tube and have a sweet, old-timey shoulder pad. I don’t even know that i plan on putting YBD on my shoulder, barring unexpected cyclocross scenarios, but shiiiiite, I’ll be ready! Do note the three brand aware adhesive strips and the inclusion of a real walnut.
Nice!

fyxation has a GREAT little primer on understanding bike tyres over HERE. going over design, construction, benefits and features, and even skidding — the article, while geared towards explaining their "session" tyres specifically, is actually very useful for anyone considering how to shop for tyres.
give it a look!
