This really shocked me when i saw it. It’s such a beautiful photo. The backstory to my surprise is that I, too, ride with a bullet. Mine, however, is Concealed Dope. I have a small number of 5.56N blank shell casings from the most wonderful bank shootout filming in Heat. I have one stashed in the ride bag or ride kit for each bike. And when I was first trying to figure out how to incorporate them, i considered a ring hung from my Brooks saddle just like this shot. In my case, I didn’t want the rattle. But man, gorgeous! If you need a Presta/Schrader conversion valve and you have no pockets, have at it!

Sadly, it doesn’t appear that the framebuilders here, as awesome as the work is on this custom WWII aircraft scheme, nor the commenters here or on Prolly, are Watchmen fans, as the pin-up has gone unidentified. Still, man, Lung and I talk about our plots and schemes for our builds offline quite a bit, and my YBD project is intended to receive a pin-up… glad I hadn’t thought of THIS one. Because this build is gorgeous. it would make me feel sorry for myself, and wallow in champagne. Or something.
